Hosanna | 1-4yrs Sunday on Thursday

What did we learn?


This week we celebrated Palm Sunday together. We learned that Jesus is our King who came to save us from our sin. We threw down palm branches and coats on the road, which we learned is a way that people in that time would welcome a King. We imagined Jesus walking into Jerusalem as we shouted, "Hosanna!" We made our own palm branches and danced together singing praises to our King, Jesus.





Praying through the Catechism


Pray together thanking Jesus for being our King.

Q: How is Christ your king?

A: Christ rules over me, the world and Satan, and he defends me.


Question #75

Q: Why do you need Christ as your King?

A: Because I am weak and helpless.

What animal did Jesus ask his followers to get?

What did the people put on the road as Jesus entered Jerusalem?

What were the people shouting?

Game Time


Hosanna in the Highest Freeze Game

Play some kids' worship music and dance around. When the music stops, invite your child to freeze and shout, "Hosanna in the Highest," or, "Jesus is the King!" After you have finished come together and pray, thanking God for sending Jesus as our King.
